Flaming Text
Create a new 250 x188 @ 72 dpi graphic and type the letter 'FIRE' in 60 point Arial Black. Duplicate the layer and link it to the original. Click on the original layer.
Go to Edit>Transform>Rotate 90° CW and move the text to the left.
Next go to Filter>Stylize>Wind and choose "Wind" and "From the Right". Do this again, except this time choose "From the Left". Repeat this.
Go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur. Use the default settings except for change the radius to 2. Do Filter>Stylize>Wind again with the same settings (Wind, From the Left). Then do Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur agian with the same settings (Radius=2).
Go to Edit>Transform>Rotate 90° CCW and move the text back to the bottom. Merge you blurred text layer with your background (black). Go to Image>Ajustments>Hue/Saturation and use these settings: Check Colorize, Hue-25, Saturation-100, Lightness-0. Go to Image>Ajustments>Brightness/Contrast and set the Brightness to -20 and Contrast at 60.
Return to the original text layer and change the color to black.
